Owner Wendy Betten has been in the restaurant business for 31 years, became an owner after saving her tips and buying her first restaurant.  After years of building on her  love for the business and her customers, she built a reputation for running one of the best diner's in Pittsburgh.  After selling that location, she has turned her attention to the Hot Metal Diner in West Mifflin.

At Hot metal Diner, Wendy, provides more than just good food -- making dining a fun experience as well."I wanted something different this time "I want food to be fun " I want customers to walk out thinking "what am I going to eat next time I come?" Even the ceiling fans are cool.

Wendy's husband, Gary, did a lot of work getting the diner opened, and is in charge of ordering and finances.  Beyond that, he can be seen doing all kinds of odds and ends as needs arise.

Being in The Hot Metal Plaza, the Hot Metal Diner is open for breakfast and lunch.  Wendy is excited to have her new diner in a newly, developing area along Lebanon Road close to Century III Mall, and close to Homestead, Pleasant Hills and other Mon Valley and South Hills communities. The South side is not too far away.

At the Hot Metal Diner we follow strict standards on service, and quality. We use only the finest ingredients in all of our dishes to ensure that every meal we serve is delicious and nutritious. We encourage you to visit Hot Metal Diner and enjoy our food and atmosphere. We look forward to serving you.
